I wish to apply for my ALS – is this covered by the study leave allowance and study budget?

If the life support course is listed on your programme's LaKSS study leave lists as a curriculum requirement, then you are able to claim for this out of your study leave budget in full.

If an ALS course is not listed and is required for your service commitment, then you will need to apply to your Trust.

Please note that a cap of £350 applies to ALS courses for Foundation doctors, as this course is no longer specified as a requirement in the Foundation curriculum.
