What is my notice period?

You should liaise with your employer and Training Programme Director to agree a suitable last working day. All trainees are required to work a period of notice as per your contract of employment. It is expected a minimum of 1 or 3 months notice period dependent on your grade, however, this can be reduced if your employer agrees to negotiate.

This is GMC good practice and the employer has the right to refer trainees who do not work the appropriate notice period to the GMC. The agreed minimum period of notice by both sides for doctors and dentists employed under these terms and conditions are as follows:
