Can I apply for funding from the study leave budget for a postgraduate qualification?

Modified on Wed, 20 Nov at 4:59 PM

All postgraduate qualifications (MSc, Diploma or PG cert courses) must be approved via the discretionary study leave process, unless the course is specifically named on the approved course lists as a curriculum requirement (generic course codes such as 'developing skills for educational supervision' cannot be used for postgraduate qualifications).

This means you will need to request approval from your educational supervisor, TPD, and Head of School for approval of funding. More detailed guidance on the discretionary application process can be found here.

Please note that discretionary study leave funding can only be approved up to a maximum of £1000 per application.
