I have been awarded an unsatisfactory outcome at my ARCP, how can I appeal this decision?

If you disagree with the panel’s decision, you have a right to ask for it to be reviewed. A review is a

process where the panel who originally made a decision, return to it to reconsider whether it was

appropriate.

Requests for review must be made by the trainee in writing via the PGMDE Support Portal   https://lasepgmdesupport.hee.nhs.uk  within 10 working days of being notified of the Outcome 3 or 4.

The request for review should be accompanied by a clear description of your grounds for review, along

with any evidence that you wish to present to the review panel relevant to the original panel’s

decision.

Trainees do not attend the review in person and the panel will usually be undertaken virtually within

10 working days of receiving your request. The panel will review all evidence individually and usually

agree a decision by email or on a conference call.
