This is not the same as a phased return to work, which should be managed directly with your employer. You may request to return to work at reduced hours, if you meet the eligibility criteria, but first you must discuss any plans for LTFT with your Training Programme Director. LTFT applications should be made to LaSE Healthcare Education Team, a minimum of 16 weeks in advance of your intended start date.

If you have been absent for over three months, this will be part of your pre-return discussion with your Educational Supervisor or Training Programme Director who can assist in facilitating your move to LTFT training.
