It is important to note that participation in an employer’s Return to Work package is not the same as a phased return to work, which must be managed directly with your practice.
Trainees who wish to return to work on reduced hours may be eligible to apply for Less Than Full Time (LTFT) training. Before submitting an application, you must first discuss your plans with your Training Programme Director (TPD) to ensure suitability and alignment with programme requirements.
Applications for LTFT training should be submitted to Workforce Training & Education (WT&E) at least 16 weeks prior to your intended start date. This timeframe ensures that appropriate arrangements can be made to support your training and clinical commitments.
