Modified on Tue, 8 Sep at 10:35 AM

What this article is about
This article explains what to do if you are having problems booking onto an event or regional training day.

Who this is for
Doctors and dentists in training, educators, speakers and other attendees who cannot complete an event booking.

What you need to know
Common issues include the event booking link has expired, the event is full, the booking window has closed, required fields have not been completed, the event is restricted to a specific audience, you are using an email address that does not match the expected registration route, the confirmation email has gone to junk or quarantine, or there is a technical issue with the booking system.

What to do

  1. Check the event title, date and booking deadline.
  2. Make sure all required fields are completed.
  3. Check that you are eligible to attend the event.
  4. Try opening the booking form in a different browser if the form does not load.
  5. Check your junk or spam folder for confirmation emails.
  6. If the issue continues, raise a query through the PGMDE Support Portal.
  7. Include your full name, event title, event date, specialty or role, screenshot or description of the error, and the email address used to book.

If this does not work
If the event is full or closed, HET may not be able to add you. You may need to contact the event organiser or wait for a future session.

Who to contact
Use the PGMDE Support Portal for booking issues.

What HET can and cannot help with
HET can help with

  • Checking known booking issues.
  • Confirming whether HET has received your booking.
  • Correcting booking details where possible.
  • Advising whether the query needs to go to the event organiser.

HET cannot help with

  • Overriding event capacity without organiser agreement.
  • Adding you to an event where you are not part of the intended audience.
  • Approving study leave or rota release.
  • Guaranteeing that a late booking can be accepted.
