If you are considering a period of OOP, please discuss this with your Training Programme Director and Educational Supervisor as early as possible, before you make an application.
Note: To formalise an OOP, an application must be submitted via the trainee portal and formalised by NHSE before the time out commences.
All OOP applications must now be made within the HET OOP Windows listed below. NB - please be aware that if you are an Academic trainee and go out on OOP, you will relinquish your academic award.

You should apply using the OOP application form here and submit to the LaSE Healthcare Education Team providing all supporting documentation as part of the process. The 'signatory form' can be found in below attachment.
The OOP panel will review your application once the window has closed and your HET team will then be in contact regarding the outcome of your application.
The OOP forms and guidance for all London & KSS Trainees can be found here.
If you are a Foundation trainee you will need to complete a different form. You will find these forms under the Foundation OOPs FAQ.
Once you have completed your forms they will need to be submitted by attaching them to the form available here
If none of the FAQs have answered your question, please submit an enquiry to the team by clicking here
