Core Training Programme | 6 months | 6 months | 12 months |
Higher Training programme | 1 year 2 | 1 year | 2 years3 |

This would include 1 year across both core and higher specialty where the programme is uncoupled and may include up to 6 months for the Core Training programme.
This would include 2 years across both core and higher specialty where the programme is uncoupled and may include up to 12 months for the Core Training programme
This does not include additional time that might be required because of statutory leave such as ill health or maternity/paternity/adoption leave.
