The ARCP panel have the ability to review a provisional CCT/CESR(CP)/CEGPR(CP) date and adjust if necessary, taking into account such factors as rate of acquisition of competences that might bring forward the CCT date. This must be done in conjunction with the relevant Royal College/Faculty guidance.
If you are ahead with your competencies, you can request to bring your CCT date forward. However, you will have to demonstrate that you are ahead of your peers. The process will differ depending on how much time you want to request:
- up to 3 months - let your TPD and ES know before your final ARCP for consideration. Will require HoS approval.
- 4 - 12 months - to be raised during your KA10 review. Will require HoS and PGD approval.
