How does the application process affect those who apply for Foundation training positions in Scotland and Northern Ireland?

Modified on Thu, 25 May, 2023 at 10:52 AM

Separate recruitment schemes operate for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Details of the NHS Education for Scotland (NES) scheme can be found at: NES Foundation Training Year (FTY) national programme - https://www.nes.scot.nhs.uk/our-work/pharmacy/

Details of the Northern Ireland scheme and applicant registration can be found at: Foundation training - Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland - https://www.psni.org.uk/

Students are able to apply to all three schemes if they wish. You only have to register on Oriel once but need to submit separate application forms for the England and Scotland vacancies. You will be required to complete the Situational Judgement Test (SJT) and Numeracy assessment once.
