Will I have an ARCP whilst on parental leave?

Modified on Fri, 21 Nov at 10:38 AM

ARCPs are conducted annually.

Depending on the time of year it is more likely that an ARCP will be conducted when you return to training from parental leave.

You are not expected to participate in the ARCP process whilst on statutory leave; no progression ARCP outcome would be issued during this period of time. An ARCP form will still be completed while you are on parental leave with an 'N2' code issued which indicates no ARCP was undertaken due to parental leave.

As a foundation doctor your ARCP is arranged by your employing Trust.

Please contact your Trust's medical education department to discuss when your ARCP will be held.
