All trainees enrolled in a training programme are required to have an ARCP at least one a year for revalidation purposes. If you are on parental leave when your ARCP is due to take place, all you have to provide is an up-to-date form R. You will NOT have a full ARCP as such, and this will recorded as ‘not assessed’, with the given reason being parental leave. Any training undertaken since your last ARCP will be assessed at your first ARCP upon your return to active clinical training.
I am on parental leave, do I still need to have an ARCP?
