Should I have an ARCP before going on parental leave? (ARCP)

Modified on Wed, 06 Dec 2017 at 04:42 PM

As ARCPs only happen annually, it is unlikely that your parental leave will coincide with the ARCP process. Therefore, trainees are advised to ensure their evidence/ePortfolio is up to date prior to commencing leave and to meet with their Educational Supervisor, including completing a Structured Report confirming progress against the curriculum and highlighting any remaining competencies. A Form R should be completed to support revalidation. On occasions, registrars who are 8 months or more into their ST year, may prefer to hold an ARCP prior to parental leave but this will need to be discussed with your Educational Supervisor and LaSE Health Education Team.
